I almost never get a gold from locked chests, out of my last 20, 2 where golds!!

it isnt about luck, the ration is skewed, i never even use to have this much bad luck from NM chests.

And, yes, you can get normal tomes from chests. The drop rates, IMO are fine. You may as well complain you killed a boss several hundred times and never got a green. Does anyone else see the irony in complaining about the chances of random things?

I bet aNet does fix it in some 6-8 months when almsot everywone is done vanquishing / mapping.
Me, i cant be bothered about chest drops any more i but i recall how frustrating they were when i was walking GW earth, so...

wow tender wolf you came up with a good idea (jk) I will have to

/signed on this one. But only for HM. If you have to spend that much on a pick and considering most Gold items only sell for 300 or so. its still not a big win. Make it a purple thats worth maybe 100 and you lose alot. I personally could give a damn about the luck aspect, its the investment aspect. Who would buy into a company if they only lost capital?

The gold ratio is seriously messed up. Fix those chests or at least lower the price of lockpicks.
